Razors G8 Sneek Peek

New G8 photos just showed up in my inbox. Here's the skinny.
The Razors G8 is the latest sequel of the popular Genesys family. It comes with the new redesigned backslide plate which creates a tight fit and provides more control and direct contact in boot tricks. The perfectly grooved backslide plate does not require any break-in time and is ready to use out of the box.
The proven Razors frame is literally indestructible and comes with 42 mm anti-rocker wheels with new aluminum spacers to allow just enough spin to roll over bumps and stairs. An ergonomically designed liner with super padding provides comfort and perfect flex.
Also new is a free multi-purpose Razors tool with 4 and 3 mm allen wrenches and bearing pusher.
Coming soon to Alpine

Northwave Freedom Snowboard Boot

Northwave is producing some great snowboard boots for the 09 season. today we recieved the new Freedom boot in black. The freedom is on the lower end of the line, but delivers some great comfort at a great price. Northwave has been working hard to regain some of the market share they lost a couple of years ago. I feel the new boot line is strong, and look for new boards from them under the name Drake.
Yeas, it's the same drake name as the binders. Northwaves also got an update on the box. Great colors, tons of pop.

Creature Wood Sneak Peek

This arrived in my Inbox today. here are the new images of what Creature is bringing to the table. Notice the purple in these new decks. Pretty rad. You gotta love what creature is doing.

Burton Fix 09 snowboard

Here it is. The most non talked about board in Burtons new line up. The fix is a new high end park deck with the ICS mounting system. As we all know now, Burton will be putting this on more and more decks with each upcoming season, so we better get used to it.
Size shown here is 155. These graphics make it look like it should be part of UnInc. The coolest feature on the deck is the new scoop tech pro tip. It reminds me of old school decks with this spoon nose and tail.
It's a twin shape with twin flex and the new park fly 2 core. It also has the new park edge which is beefier and can withstand gnarly rail hits.

DC Street Comp Today

First spot today was the drop ledge at 14th and Girard in beautiful downtown DC. We had to wait for a heated basketball game to finish, but it was worth the wait. The locals moved off to the side and let us take over for about 45 minutes of great skating. Here are just a couple of shots of what was going down.

Chris and brad are shown discussing the judging and timing of the event.

Cat food took a gnarly fall on his hand after this shot was taken.

Oakley Live Strong Straight Jacket

New Oakley's with the signature yellow from the man we all love,Lance Armstrong. Oakley has put his signature color on this fine pair of straight jackets in Polished black with a black iridium lens.

Burton Blunt Snowboard 09

The Blunt this season is dropping just in time for back to school. With the composition themed graphics, this is sure to be on every kids back to school list. You might notice that this deck is now being made in a wide. This seems to be a trend among all manufacturers this season. We will also see later that ride has done this with their park friendly board, the Kink.
The Blunt comes back this season virtually unchanged. it's still marketed as the park board on a budget. Great flex and solid graphics make this a strong board in the Burton 09 line up. All sizes available. Each size is a different color. Comes in 42-47-51-55-58-61-53w-56w-59w

Burton Stomp Pads

Stomp pads you say. Kind of a mundane post, but we've been sold out of them now for 4 months. New packaging reflecting Burtons crazy, all over the place style. These are the air logo mat, and the spike logo mat. You can never have too many stomp pads on your board. Remember, whomever has the most stomp pads and stickers wins.

DC Street Comp this weekend

Yes, this weekend is the annual DC street comp. check the flyer for spots. Should be a pretty good turnout. For more info on this event check out rolldc.com. Alpine donated some prizes for the event. Support local skatecomps!

Ride Sigma Binding Olive

This is the binding that will tie in with the tokidoki deck. The olive green and pink colorway is definitely different. This has the good ride ratchets, super cushioning strap and gel shock absorbers under the foot. Ride bindings are still aircraft grade aluminum and uber lightweight. The binding comes in sizes 6-8 and 8-10 for the women.

Ogio Avenue pack

It's back to school time already. The time of year parents cannot wait for. And Alpine is getting ready with new packs from OGIO. This is the pack Paul Rodriguez endorsed when he actually rode for OGIO. It can carry a skateboard on the outside and has tons of room on the inside. It's a perfect back to be rocking on the first day of classes (or anytime for that matter).

Sneak Peek At the Kass Union Binder

Yes, you are seeing it here first. Alpines favorite binder company, Union, is bring a danny kass pro model to the market. And we couldn't be happier with this first photo of this monumental binding. It looks way better than anything Danny ever put out at Agency. Colors look loud and this should match up nicely with one of Danny's signature decks with Mervin. My guess is that it will retail somewhere around $239. It will probably be based on a force with an upgrade in materials. More info will be posted when I get it.

The pin bamboo is 46" x 9.5" with a 32.25" wheel base.
Now my favorite graphic deck. The Hybrid Koa at 38" X 9.25" with a 21" wheel base.
And last is the Hybrid Bamboo. It has the same dimensions as the one above.

Burton Esquire Jacket Radical Green

Wow this jacket is green. It is called radical green to be exact. Burton's esquire comes back this season with some new updates. Jacket has a sweet satin lining and also has fully taped seams. Jacket has Burtons Sig Fit,which is the tried and true cut-baggy, but not gigantic. Retailing at only $199, this screams "look at me" at a great price.

Element 6' Square Rail

Customers are always asking us why we don't carry rails. The answer was because we couldn't find one from a company that we liked. Well now we have a great 6 foot square rail from the good people at Element skateboards. Pat pre-Assembled them today and they are ready to be skated. 2 in stock. No driveway skatepark is complete without this rail.

Burton Trope Beanie

Anything vintage 70's looking is cool again. (As if you didn't already know.) I remember having this hat in the store in 1979. It's back, and it looks great, especially in the Ron Burgundy colorway.

Burton Rebus Beanie

I know it's summer. I know it's 100 degrees out. But Burton is shipping winter gear in now, so I might as well put it up. Here is the new Rebus Beanie. It's very clean and reversible. The white reverses to a sweet kelly green. Retail at only $20. Everyone needs a couple of beanies in the rotation.

Ride Deuce Snowboard Boots

New Deuce boot from Ride Snowboards. I just tried it on and the fit is simply GREAT. It has the man fur around the top and the easy pull interior lace system. You can snug this boot super tight on your foot. The graphics tie in with the DH deck from this season. It even works with the DFC version. Check out Ridesnowboards.com for more info on this and all the other great products Ride Offers.

Burton Custom ICS Preview

To my surprise, Burton has shipped a bunch of its ICS boards early. I know it's on early July, but the snow season is sneaking up on us quite quickly. Burton first introduced ICS to us last season in just a couple of decks. we will be looking forward to seeing in double the decks this season. It looks as though Burton will be pushing this "Technology" on all of it's decks within the next couple of seasons.
It makes sense. with the binding being attached at the center of the deck, it will amount to a more even flex. The custom this year is again a directional twin. great graphics on this deck just pop. More to come....

Emerica Francis Shoes

Holy Radness Batman. This shoe is crazy cool. Designed by Ed Templeton, this francis has different graphics on each and every shoe. The footbed also has this graphic all over it. Mid's and highs are all the rage right now. Full size run of thee available today.

Eulogy Wild Life Wheels

2 new wheels came in from Isaac today. Eulogies new wild life series of wheels is simply amazing. The graphics on these look tremendous. The wheels also skate great. Austin Paz has the first wheel at a 57mm X 89A. The second is the Robert Lievanos 58mm X90A. I would like to also commend Eulogy on its new packaging. It looks and works very well. Nothing but Kudos for the wheel company!
