Monument Snowboards 2012 Sneak Peek

The first thing I said when I saw the black black from Monument was, WOW! It's a snowboard I can sell. The graphics are loud and fun. Matt rode the 155 on Tuesday and said it was awesome. It held a great edge and had lots of energy. And the graphics are what caught peoples attention. Be on the lookout for this deck in store next season. Notice the sweet Rome 390 binders on the middle model. SICK!

Set up of the minute with Chris

Chris Is getting back into skiing and what better way than with some Super Rad K2 Iron Maiden Skis. He saw these, and knew he had to have them. Nick was just wandering around and checking out what was on sale in the store. Then his eyes fell upon this Momento Mori from monument and fell instantly in love. Add some union binders to the deck, and BOOM! It's a sick set up. He will be enjoying this hopefully soon after winter decides to make a comeback. Ha! So thanks and enjoy the ride.

New Circa Combat Kicks in...Cero Kids??? Say it ain't so Joe.

Everyone knows I love the Tre and the tre high. It was a staple of mine for years. Here is a great new grey high that is now coming with flat laces. The black red white tre low is awesome, and low and behold.....A kids shoe in the combat division. And it looks sick! The cero kids in blue grey is off the charts. So stop in and see what's up on the shoe wall.

A crazy new batch of Powell products came in today. Feast your eyes upon the tremendous batch of new bones wheels. Everyones favorites in lots of great flavors. Also new PowellPeralta decks and yes, you spy a Steadham Re issue. SICK is right. Skate season is right around the corner, and Alpine is ready!

Just cleaning up around the store...

I was cleaning up around the office and found this little gem stashed away in the corner. It was a Skateboard from Syndrome given out during Palmer Clinics in 2003. It has the gorilla graphic from one of its decks. This was when Palmer was on the up and up and growing quickly. Honey comb cores and owning boardercross. How quickly they disappeared. Anyway, it's now up on display in the store. What will I find next? Who knows...

Set up of the Minute with Matt

Matt here has been snowboarding for years, but has never purchased his own gear. All that changed this weekend. Matt decided to own his own gear, and he went all out. Here he is with his new Black snowboard of death with Ride Double agent binders. He couldn't be any happier. This is a great set up and now he can bypass the rental lines and go right to the hill and shred. So thanks, and enjoy!

Boom! Check it out. Faisal wanted a new deck. So he stopped in and talked with Matt last night and grabbed this Lib T Rice with some union Contact Pro Binders. Pretty sick huh? It has the C2 BTX and the union binders are wicked light. Add some Vans focus boa boots to this set up, and he is going to be ripping down the mountain. Thanks for stopping in and letting us get you your new gear!

"Off The Lip" Jonathan Mono Skis In the store

Oh Yeah! Old school is in the house. Matty here is checking the tune on this Vintage "Off The Lip" Jonathan branded Mono Ski. It's got some sweet Tyrolia 480 binders on it painted a nice bright white. There was a time back in 85 when everyone in the shop had a monoski. I was only able to ski on one once at Whitetail. It is a completely different experience, and one I have only done once. It is more of a lifting phenomenon. Anyway, this thing is tuned and it is ready to hit the mountain. .

BOOM! An old school Powell re issue in the Ray "Bones" Rodriguez variety. Coming complete with Gullwing pro trucks and sector nine wheels. Lorenzo is going to be cruising is style making everyone jealous of his sweet ride. Enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it! Thanks!

Yeah, you know you want this. A real "Skate Banana" from the minds at Mervin. I asked to order one and was told only for show display. Looks pretty rad. Even comes with some of those new Bent Metal Binders. New Lib Outerwear being shown behind it. "Ride the Rainbow". Great slogan. Let's see how that works out...
