Volkl RTM 80 Skis 2012

 Volkl RTM 80 skis are here. Sure you are probably asking yourself which ski did this replace? well, this is important because it replaced the very sought after AC30. What has happened through the years is that volkl screwed up. They won't admit it, but the line didn't make any sense last year. You had the ac, the ac20, the ac 30, then the ac50. Where was the 40? Why did they skip it? All these questions were asked, and all were addressed this season.
We now have the RTM, or ride the mountain series. The waist width is denoted in the final number. Makes way more sense. But what is really important, is that you know this is the ski that can really do it all. From frontside carving at high speed, to cruising in the heavy stuff. the RTM 80 is simply awesome. now with an early rocker, this is an effortless design that will leave you grinning from ear to ear. But grab em quick, because if you remember last year, these babies were gone before you knew it.

Lange RS 110 2012 Ski Boots

Lange has always meant racing, but it has not always meant superior fit. You were either a lange foot, or you weren't. And most of the time if you weren't a lange foot you got the boot anyway because of the way it performed. I can attest to this when I skied in the Tii (yellow) boot because it was so rad. It hurt like hell, but it was super cool.
Now you can have the cool boot, and it will fit your foot. Lange has redone race with these amazing RS models. The 110 shown here is a 98 mm last, and it fits great straight out of the box. Isabelle Bunch Celebrates here birthday today

 Yes we did. Some fabulous pics of the Mom of Alpine Ski Shop. Isabelle (Izzy) Bunch Bunch is celebrating her birthday today. Sure we did a write up of the legend Eddie Bunch, but how can we forget the back bone of the shop? the lady that balanced the books, raised 2 wonderful kids, and kept Eddie in line. Yes, Izzy did all of this and became the clothing buyer when the store took off.
From Roffe to Bogner to Sun Ice to hard corps to SOS etc......She has watched  them come and go.
So from all of us at Alpine we wish you a very very happy birthday!
Look for Izzy to yet again be out at this seasons buying show, and be sure to congratulate her on keeping it going for 40 great years.

Salomon Quest ski Boots for 2012

Last year I did not take a chance on these boots, and it was my mistake. But now we have the new improved models for 2012 in stock. The Quest line of boots came from backcountry design. They are lightweight, super comfortable and have only 3 buckles. They also incorporate a super easy to use hike feature that acts as a walk feature for cruising around the lodge. Alpine has 1 great womens and 2 great mens models in the store. With a 102 last, these boots are really comfortable and good for the all around intermediate looking to get out of their older, less comfortable boot.
