Reston Skatepark Grand Opening

 After a long wait, the skatepark at Lake Fairfax park is now open. It is absolutley amazing. 15,000 square feet of concrete. An amazing street dplaza anchors the triple pool area. It has banks,hips,rails,boxes, and gaps galore. It is truly a sight to see. It seems that each new skatepark being opened is better than the next. We are looking forward to holding a couple of fun demos and contests there next year. So get out to this amazing new park and enjoy. Also--Keep it CLEAN. The county spent a ton of money on this, keep it looking and skating good. Rumor is..more skateparks are on the agenda.

Santa Cruz Re Issue Wood up on the wall

 At Alpine we are devoted to carrying all the super cool re issue wood. Since I grew up skating in the 80's I love seeing each and every one of these great pieces of art. It brings me back to a time when the graphic actually meant something. It was a graphic that stuck with a skater for quite a while, and you would search for different colors. So this weeks treasure find brings us a SIGNED Claus Grabke melting clocks deck in natural. The red Jeff Kendall, and a camo Roskopp face. Below is a Black Roskopp 1, a great Keith Meek Slasher in green and one of the Simpson's Roskopp 1 knock off boards. Not shown is a Blue Roskopp 1 deck.

686 / Union Collaboration Limited Snowboard Bindings

 I got a call late last week from my 686 rep, and he asked how many of these super limited bindings would I like? My answer was how many can I have? I took the full allotment. This is 686's 20th year in business, and we have been happy to be a partner with them for the past 12 years. So 686 went to union to design this amazing collaborative binding. It has the team high back, and an atlas base plate. the buckles are logo'd with both the 686 and union names. The colors match everything that 686 is doing this season in outerwear. these will be available in store and online. Hurry if you love em'. Rumor is only 100 were made.

Justin won a Dime Bag board!
